Pupil dies after allegedly consuming goods from local spaza shop

JOHANNESBURG – A grade one pupil has died after allegedly consuming biscuits from a local spaza shop.
 
It’s understood the young girl fell ill while in class at the Mandlethu Primary School in Tsakane.
 
Paramedics declared her dead at the scene and police are now investigating the death.
 
Her parents confirmed that the pupil had consumed biscuits which were bought from a local spaza shop owned by foreign nationals.
 
Police are now investigating the circumstances of this incident.
